HOW TO BREAK OUT OF TERRITORIAL CONFINEMENT. JOHN BROWN

HOW DO WE BREAKOUT OF TERRITORIAL CONFINEMENT?

1. Desire – A yearning or a longing for something. When your desire is God’s desire and will you have answered prayer.

• Job 14:15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.

• Psalm 145:19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

• Proverbs 10:24  The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. WHY?

• Proverbs 13:19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.

• Proverbs 11:23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

• Mark 11:24   Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

• Psalm 81:10  I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Success is not a gift, it’s a choice! Frederick K. C. Price said, "We have not succeeded by accident." Nobody will consider an accident as a success. When your choice is made, the grace and strength for accomplishment is imparted. When man decided to build a tower that will get to heaven in

Genesis 11, even God agreed that nothing could stop them.
And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Genesis 11:6

Proverbs 21:25
The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

2. RESPONSIBILITY

Joshua 17:15
And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.

“What will happen will happen is the philosophy of the lazy”. What you make happen is what happens. Personal responsibility for anything wrong or good is very important to anyone breaking out of Territorial confinement.
Jabez did not blame his circumstances on his surroundings

1 Chron. 4:9-10
And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. [10] And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jewish writers indicate that he was an eminent doctor in law. He was so great a city was named after him

1 Chron. 2:55
And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.

3. WARFARE

Joshua 17:18  But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.

The people of Isreal broke out of confinement by fighting three levels of war were fought.

Psalm 135:7-12 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries. [8] Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast. [9] Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants. [10] Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings; [11] Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan: [12] And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

• War against the self – Die to yourself.

• War against Celestial power – the plagues of Moses are the proves
Ephes. 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

• War against Terrestrial Systems – Human systems that constitute a hindrance to our breakthroughs.

4. WORK

• Thou shall cut down

Joshua 17:18   But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.

• Prepare thy work Proverbs 24:27   Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

• Indeed, there is no substitute for hard work, if you want to succeed in life.

• Diligence or hard work is a major ingredient for success in life.

• There is prophet in all labour Proverbs 14:23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

• No work no food For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
2 Thessalonians 3:10

• A gallup poll result in America came up with a statistics that revealed that 80 per cent of the children of successful people in America do not succeed. This is because they are not exposed to the major ingredient that makes for success — hard work. Everything is done for them, they don’t know how to do anything, so they end up not being able to keep a thing.

• Every destiny decays in the hands of laziness, idleness and slothfulness.

• Just as success is as a result of diligence, failure comes through slothfulness Ecclesiastes 10:18 By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.

• Success is impossible until your hands are set to work. Until your hands become working hands, your life will not become a working life, for work is what determines your worth in life. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

• Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

• Isaiah 3:10  Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

There is plenty in God’s destiny for you, but the work you do with your hands is the avenue through which it will come. Even though God had promised to make Abraham great, we saw Abraham getting busy with rearing cattle, even at an advanced age of 75. He knew that the only way God would bless him was through the works of his hands.

Genesis 13:2 says this of him, "And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold." Solomon said:

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
Proverbs 10:4

When your hands are slack, poverty is sure to come your way. If you want to be successful in life, then you must deal with strong hands.

The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
Proverbs 13:4

Failure becomes your heritage only when your hands refuse to work. It takes diligence to become successful.

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
Proverbs 22:29

Diligent in his business, not diligent in prayers. Your disobedience to His command to work is what is making you spend countless and needless hours in laborious prayers. A student who would not study for his exams, but spends hours praying will still end up a failure.

TOPIC: BREAKING OUT OF TERRITORIAL CONFINEMENT. JOHN BROWN

INFORMATON In the world of success, information is the greatest asset. That’s why the end-time Church will be given such unusual access into heavenly information, for earthly manifestations.
That is, the flourishing Word of life, showing you the way to the highways of life. I welcome you to that path, in Jesus’ name.
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Psalm 119:130
When you encounter God’s Word on any issue of life, darkness can no longer handle you in that area, because, "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehendeth it not..."
God’s Word says, "Arise, shine, for thy light is come..." Nobody shines until his light comes and light can’t come until the Word enters. It is only after God’s Word has entered you that you can become an eternal (unending) excellency, the joy of many generations! (Isa. 60:15.)
The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 29:29
Heavenly secrets are God’s exclusive property. Until they are revealed, they don’t belong unto us. The Bible in Proverbs 25:2 says:
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

TOPIC: BREAKING OUT OF TERRITORIAL CONFINEMENT
JOHN BROWN

The strength of a football team is not determined by its ability to remain in its own half of the field but must be able to break out of every territorial confinement and exert dominance in the other half.
We must be able to break out of our familiar grounds or environment to make our influence felt beyond our environs.
Deut. 1:6-8
The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: [7] Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. [8] Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

1.   They were confined and enjoyed the convenience of receiving manna from heaven, the protection and guidance of the pillar of cloud and fire respectively, water from the rock and the commandments of God.
2.   They began to compare themselves with their environment.
3.   They justified themselves with what they had. Self justification is the gate way to man’s frustration
4.   They feared to risk. There is no (future) place in success for the fearful. Only the brave ever become great.
5.   They became victims of contentment
6.   God did not call them to the wilderness but to the Promised Land.
7.   It is time for us to seek God for fresh motivation to be released.

Jeremiah 4:3
For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
Hosea 10:12
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

(Fallow ground means idle, uncultivated, unproductive, untilled ground.  Not only were the Jews commanded to break up the fallow ground of their hearts, but to take away the thorns growing therein so as to be ready to receive the Word of God and produce righteousness instead of sin.  The command was, Do not sow seeds of repentance in unfit soil; prepare the ground properly before sowing them; regard repentance as a serious matter requiring forethought and anxious labor.)

REASONS FOR CONFINEMENT
Joshua 17:16 And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Beth-shean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.

1.   The Hill is not Enough – They said the hill was not enough for them. Their true failure was not the size of the land but their inability to drive out the former occupants of the land.
Joshua 17:12   Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
·       Many believe if they had more, they could do better. The question remains, how well have you taken care of what you have?
·       Understand that what you have is more than enough to take over and break out. “Great opportunities scarcely come in life. Most of the time what we have is a small opening and we have to force our way through that by the force of prayer and divine favour.”

Genesis 1:26-28
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. [27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. [28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

We are a people born in due season! Not because we are smarter than the past generations, but because in God’s agenda, He has planned that success will be the garment of the end-time saints, and through it bring many into the city of refuge.
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Micah 4:1-2
Isaiah 2:2-3 carries a very similar prophecy:
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
The success of the end-time Church shall be a compelling attraction — "...People shall flow into it." It will be so clear to the outside world that these men are actually on the highways of life.
God’s Word shall blossom in the end-time, bringing supernatural ways of flourishing to the people of God, taking them to supernatural heights in life. Every sinner out there shall begin to pant and run after such Words, because they can see the difference!
The highways of God are what will place the Church on the highways of success; it shall always know what to do to succeed!

2.   The Canaanites are there –
Certain people see only evil not good.

Numbers 13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Take your eyes off the enemies.

Proverbs 22:13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.

Eccl11:4   He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
